YOU AMAZE ME.

Amanda Baker is a mom, wife, daughter, and therapist in Baltimore, Maryland. She has been writing since the age of seven and continues to write to not only elicit freedom, but to inspire and connect with others. We all innately want to connect and feel recognized and honored. Amanda works with those challenged by mental health conditions and strives to recognize and honor her clients exactly where they are. ASK: A Collection of Poetry, Lyrics, and Words is Amanda’s first published collection of her poetry and lyrics. During her downtime, she often spends time with her five-year-old son, Dylan, her husband, and family. She enjoys yoga and is a certified 500hr yoga instructor with specialty in Yoga Psychology. Amanda is also certified in Radiant Child Yoga. Amanda would love for you to come and take a class with her! She also loves music, going to concerts, reading both fiction and nonfiction books, and lying on the beach.

    Therapeutic Yoga Workshop: Integration of yoga and psychology for nervous system support

    Engage in integrative yoga psychology methods to reduce stress and promote vitality and restoration .

    a deep dive in how yoga, mental health, and healing are all inter-related. Stress resides in your body and managing your stress response, negative beliefs, or thought patterns involves movement, present mindfulness, and a willingness to expand your tolerance to difficult circumstances. Learn about the impact of trauma, stress, depression, and anxiety on your body and authentic living - with specific poses and interventions to reduce your stress and release built up emotions in a therapeutic space!

    Expect guided breathwork, stretches, yoga postures and flow (asana), along with specific therapeutic techniques designed to support you in gaining an awareness of self and building comfort with discomfort before ending with a restorative relaxation.

    Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a 500hr. Registered Yoga Teacher with speciality in Yoga Psychology. She has training experience in Trauma-Informed Yoga, Emotional Freedom Technique, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, and Radiant Child Yoga.
